Driebergen-Zeist Station has acquired two more energy bicycles. With these devices you can recharge your phone or tablet by using muscle power. The energy bikes are an initiative of Duursaam Kerckebosch Zeist.
One of the two energy bikes was also on the Energieplein in the Kerckebosch regeneration area. The entire square behind the Christelijk College Zeist on the Graaf Adolflaan is dedicated to sustainable energy.
Energy is generated, among other things, by movement tiles on the panna field, The wifi hotspot present on the square is powered by 4,000 plants and solar panels.
One energy bike is continuously touring the Netherlands.
