The six 'We-Bike' bikes that were installed at Brussels Airport in the summer of 2012 seem to be a hit. So says Electrabel.

At the time, Electrabel launched the bikes in collaboration with Brussels Airport, JC Decaux and WeWatt/We-Bike. The six bikes in Pier A are used daily by an average of 850 people. That's some 350,000 users since the project's inception. The We-Bike enables electronic devices such as laptops or cell phones to be charged by cycling on a sort of exercise bike. After about thirty minutes the cell phone is fully charged. Electrabel also provides a free Internet connection so that users can surf the Internet while cycling to charge their electronic devices.

Cameleon chain stores in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert also have a few We-Bikes, as well as in Brussels South Station or at the EXKi eatery on Beursplein.
